Tit-bit of history: Jacksonville, Texas is the former Tomato Capital of the World. I recall as a elementary school student, this information was shared in our class geography book. I was mightly impressed.

Attention Ladies and Gentlemen!
I have an announcement or should I say confession to make. Well, here goes... I am a proscrastinator.
I' m sure I have left signs and clues all over the place. Who would figure that my last blog entry is November 2014. OK! I am out of the closet. Perhaps I can get some work done now! However, before you totally blast me away... I have been working behing the scenes. I am very excited because Business Savvy, Inc. is working with me to combine this website and sandraelizabethfry.com under an overall website called Caleb's Way Farms. I can't wait for this project completion.
In the meantime, starting with this POST....my goal is to post everyday for 21 days. Yes! I am told 21 days of doing anything establishes a habit. How about that...I should be a blogger guru in 21 days from today...by the end of April. And, to top it off, the new website should be up and running.
Best of all, for your convenience, delicious teacakes and the book, Sweet Darling Jesus will be available for purchase, right here, once the new website is in place!
Thats all folks for now! See you tomorrow.

Time pass so quickly.... My parents have been home since November 7...a great homecoming. I've taken a week from work to setup my routine and re-acquint them with their home. I am so thankful that an almight God and his son, sweet darling Jesus has moved for my parents and brought them home.

Greetings everyone,
The last several weeks have been quite hectic. You may recall that I am a Doctor of Healthcare Management student. I just finished a course with a final grade of a B....I am estastic. That B means just as much to me as an A.
I have spent lots of quality time at the nursing home with my parents. The great news is my parents are coming home. ooh! Where have I heard that term? Yes. That's right! The book that I am working on is called "Coming Home".
By the way! Check out my book, Sweet Darling Jesus at www.sandraelizabethfry.com
By now, you may be wondering, what does this have to do with some where working. True, you are right. Absolutely nothing!
Well, the truth of the matter is I've been so busy these pass 8 weeks until I am tired of being tired. I have postponed some of my projects in order to prepare my parents homecoming. My siblings and I are doing a great job with minor repair jobs and lots more. However, we hired a carpenter to enlarge the bathroom. I am so excited and expecting everything to to be fine.
More next time.................
Thanks for supporting my blog,
Sandra

Over the weekend, I planted kale, collards, turnips, mustards and cabbages in a raised garden bed. I believe that the best feeling ever is to have food growing... the basics of sustainable living, which as you know, I have a passion for a lifestyle of sustainability.
Does anyone have a fall garden?
I would love to hear about it!
Thank you for loving my blog,
Sandra

Finally! I have arrived. Eight months later, I am satified with Teacakes N' Things website and blog. My goal is to integrate all aspects of my little projects. For example, my legal business name is Sancaleb, Inc. The house and the few acres surrounding it is dubed Caleb's Way Farms, which will produce Farm to Market crops, fruit orchards, and meat-goats. Teacakes N' Things focus on old-fashion desserts, quilting, soap-making and odds-and-ends.... The desserts can be ordered on-line.
Last but not least....I just can't wait to tell you.... I did it....really I did! My first self-published book! My little book is called Sweet Darling Jesus.
The link to the book's marketing website is www.sandraelizabethfry.com. It only cost 10.00 bucks. It is an inspirational book that's an easy read.
I hope you will take the time to check out the website and purchase if you like the book.
Also, check out the store on this website and order a batch of delicious teacakes. My teacakes are the best this side of the Mississippi river. Honest...they are. They are finger lickin' good.
Happy Birthday Sandra

How do you pack up and move home after 20 years? Believe me it takes prayer and a lot of faith in the Lord. I moved back to East Texas(Jacksonville) CR 3405 during the month of May, 2013. This move came about after much soul searching, which begin in 2012. By April 2013, I felt the tug to move home becoming an inevitable life changing event. I now live in rural America, seven miles outside of a small town (my hometown) called Jacksonville, Texas.
I am living in a house that I have owned for 30 years. My first little home. My little house is in need of much repair and change. After visiting dozens of DIY bloggers, I know I can DIY my little house. I look forward to each day, as I landscape, create flower beds, prime walls, etc. There is so much to do. I am tackling small projects and working on one room at a time.
